If you have exported a Report from DDHAPT, you will probably want to open it with MS Excel in order to carry out additional analysis. In order to do this, follow the following steps (valid for MS Excel 2010):
- Open Microsoft Excel
- Click on the “Data” tab
- Click on the “From Text” icon from the “Get External Data” subgroup
- Navigate to the CSV file in question using the MS file selector; select the file in question, and click “Import”
- This will open the “Text Import Wizard”
- Step 1 of 3: The default settings should be fine (“Delimited” file type selected, Start import at row: 1) – click on “Next >”
- Step 2 of 3: Check the “Comma” box under the “Delimiters” column
- Click “Finish” (Step 3 is not necessary)
- An “Import Data” input box pops up – simply click “OK” to complete the import process
- Select “File” – “Save” in order to save the report as an Excel spreadsheet (.xlsx or .xls)
