- Download the self-extracting archive ["brave_installer-x64.exe"](https://brave-browser-downloads.s3.brave.com/latest/brave_installer-x64.exe) direct from Brave's server
- **Don't** run the self-extracting app

- Use your archive app to extract "chrome.7z" to a folder named "chrome"
- Open the subfolder '\Chrome-bin' inside "chrome" e.g. "chrome\Chrome-bin"
- Close your portapps Brave browser
- Locate and open the your portapps Brave folder
- Inside that folder, open the subfolder '\app'.
- Delete all the outdated content (two files and one folder) inside the '\app' subfolder.
