email2trac is now installed on the Mobius Trac server. You can file a ticket to the server by emailing the address mailto:[email protected]. You can update a ticket by responding to a ticket that you receive as well.

For example, an email subject line of: Subject: [hic] #1529: Re: LRZ will update ticket #1529.

The following subject line will trigger an update of ticket number 1529 and will set its owner to kiniry and priority to major: Subject: [hic] #1529?owner=kiniry,priority=major: Re: LRZ

The body of your email will be appended to the ticket, as well as any attachments.

The priority of a ticket is interpreted as follows:

  • Blocker - must be fixed as soon as possible
  • Critical - must be fixed in the next release
  • Major - should be fixed in the next release if possible
  • Minor - might be fixed in the next release after all major tickets are resolved
  • Trivial - optional, might never be fixed
