An overview of "Showview"
View the video version of this article: Coming soon
"Showview" is the page you'll see when clicking on show from the homepage or the shows page. This page is meant to be a digital version of the Shop Copy & Day of Show all in one. It has all the info an employee would need for a show. This is not a replacement for the shop copy as you will still want to bring it in case the event coordinator wishes to see the contract
The page is laid out from top to bottom with information about the show and systems used for that show
At the top of the page you'll find a virtual ticket, This shows basic information about the show including:
- Name
- Organization
- Date
- Show start - end times
- Location
Right below that you'll find any show notes that the booking manager or event coordinator has left for you regarding the show, if any.
Directly below you'll find times of note for the show as a BSSL employee, these include:
- Shop Time
- Load in
- Load out
TIP: Different load in/out times may be shown for different departments.
The next section contains the systems that the event requires.
Next to each system is a green "Report Issue" link. Clicking this allows you to tell the shop tech that something is broken. If there is an immediate emergency, contact the shop tech directly, this is for reporting broken equipment that should be serviced.
Next you'll find a section that houses the staff that will be working the show, split by department. Click on a department to see the relevant staff. Next to each name you'll find the position and name of the employee.
TIP: Clicking on the name of an employee working a show in the "pill" will allow you to contact them directly. On desktop this will email them while on mobile it will text them.
You'll also be able to clock in/out of the gig from this page. Your shift will be recorded directly instead of the engineer having to write it down.
If you see more below the staff list that means you're probably an engineer for that show! Check out "Showview" for Engineers to learn more.
