Creating a Source

Creating a Source from SFTP File Server or Blob Storage

1. Click on "Connections" on the left-side menu.
2. Click on the name of the connection where you would like to add your source from.
3. Click on the "Add Sources" button.
   
4. Click on the folder (and sub-folder(s)) your source is located in.
5. Click on the source. You should now see this source under the "Selected Sources" section on the right.
6. Click "Continue".
7. Select if the source has a header row (most likely does), define the value separator (usually comma "," or pipe "|"), edit the file name with a wildcard variable if needed, and select the archive action (defaulted to move).
8. Click "Confirm Source Details". Once the source is added, you should be taken back to the "Connections" screen.

Creating a Source from a Database

1. Click on "Connections" on the left-side menu.
2. Click on the name of the connection where you would like to add your source from.
3. Click on the "Add Sources" button.
   
4. Click on the table. You should now see this source under the "Selected Sources" section on the right.
5. Click "Continue".
6. Once the source is added, you should be taken back to the "Connections" screen.
