**If you are looking for the symmetry operator in coot**: draw > cell and symmetry > master switch: show symmetry atoms > apply. Double click on one of the atoms that is part of the symmetry image of the molecule that forms the biological assembly. This will show the operator in the bottom bar of the UI.
