Agenda

  • Announcements: Happy Valentine’s Day!
  • Five (5) items on board for Sent for WG approval have sufficient Thumbs Ups. Facilitators will process.
  • Process for Response Only items?
  • Status check on Understanding Reflow.
  • Following our standing agenda, working from the Project Board

Review ‘For Discussion’ items

Two previous items, PR4195 and PR4122. Mike volunteered for both, but he has been on travel this week.

New item 1.4.2 Audio Control - Do two-way voice communications features and/or video conference features need to meet this req? #4230 is Response-Only from an active WG member. Mike will close if Glenda is okay with it. Issues raises the question about not falling further behind on lightweight issues, and should we give time each week? No change to process for now, but folks are encouraged to flag during a call if needed.

Review ‘Drafted’ items

update terminology per https://www.w3.org/WAI/EO/wiki/Style#colorblind #2143 modifies Understanding for SC 1.4.1. Ken has a question about impact on 2.0 docs. Consensus for not updating XML files. Preference would be to delete file and perhaps whole folders.

Update for Understanding Reflow

From last week:

  • Are videos playing?
    • Does group want to drop those for now?
    • Alternative is to delay sending to AG.
  • Feedback from Gundala.
  • Feedback from others?

Previous target date was to have PR and preview sent to AG by Friday the 14th. Maybe the 21st? Or just a “head ups” message? Plan is that Updated Reflow is on AG Agenda for 2/25, it will be the only item to review, and they will have the usual two week review.

Scott has some regret about examples (today, electronic program guide) being dropped. Scott will pull techniques still under development, and have parking lot for new examples which can be added later.

Helpful to have passing examples. Scott walked Gundala how he tests and settings he uses for Dev Tools. This lead to a discussion about more resources needed for testing, but much of that would not go into an Understanding document.

With the nested list example, Scott agreed that horizontal scroll bars being out of viewport is a usability barrier. It is not a failure, but would be nice to include some best practices.

Question to ask: Is this better than what we have now?
