Standard Pages
Your page begins with a page title (this is the H1 for your page). Text entered here will be used for generating the file name and page URL when you save.
If your page is titled "Bananas are Great for Time Travel," your page url will be "https://bmrc.lib.uchicago.edu/bananas-are-great-for-time-travel . To shorten or change the URL "slug" for your page, go to the "Promote" tab and change the "slug" field to something that is more fitting, like bananas or bananas-time-travel
- The body is made up of a series of fields, which you use to hold your content).
- The individual fields are detailed below with their options.
- You can add fields by hovering your mouse above or below a body field; a gray circle with a plus ⊕ will appear. Click the top plus to insert a new field above the current field or the bottom plus to add a field below the current block.
- You can remove a field by hovering your mouse over the field and clicking the trashcan icon.
- You can move a field by hovering your mouse over the field and clicking the up or down arrow.
A field where you can use:
- Bold
- Italic
- Block Quote
- Heading levels 2-5
- Numbered lists
- Bulleted lists
- Horizontal rule
- New line (soft return)
- Insert Video / Video
- Link (write a hyperlink to an internal Wagtail page or external site)
- Document link (to a file hosted on Wagtail, such as a Word doc or PDF)
- Undo
- Redo
Ability to create to rich text blocks side by side to create columns.
- After you click "Text Column," Click on "New Column." Use this like any other rich text field.
- To add a new column, click the plus sign above or below. You can rearrange the order of the columns by clicking the up or down arrows on each "New Column" box.
- Recommend to use two columns for best reading line length. Do not use more than three columns.
- In mobile view, column blocks stack below each other in one column.
This is a module used to feature text within page content. Featured Text: The text that you would like to feature in the box. Accepts Header 2, Header 3, lists, and links. Style Type: Four different design styles, Basic (white), Informative (blue), General (green), and Warning (red).
Allows for citations or page author credit. Places text under a light green horizontal line and in a smaller font size. Can be placed anywhere on the page.

This is a visual box that has a small thumbnail to the left with text to the right. Despite the name, this can be used for more than just featuring fellows.
- Profile Photo: Choose an image to upload. There is no need to crop or smallify the image–Wagtail will take care of all resizing and cropping.
- Profile text: Rich text box where you can put the your content. Allows for bold, italic, H2, H3, new line, and link.
Stops text floating around images where placed. Use with floating images and Rich Text blocks.
