There are way too many filetypes that use JSON underneath.

fair enough - does tree sitter support fuzzy classification?
shared-mime-info does signatures for some things https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/xdg/shared-mime-info/-/blob/master/data/freedesktop.org.xml.in
