Project Creation

When you initially open Paragon, a project creation screen will greet you. To create a project, fill out the following fields:

  • ROM Path: The path to the extracted ROM you want to edit. For example, to edit FE14, select the root directory for your FE14 ROM.
  • Project Path: The directory that Paragon should save edited files to. This is usually the root directory of a LayeredFS patch. See the "Editing Process" page for more information on how the project path is used.
  • Game: The game you want to edit. This field affects how Paragon locates localized files.
  • Language: The language of the game you want to edit. This field affects which directory Paragon looks in for localized files. Note that the ROM and Project must use the same language - Paragon does not support using different languages for the ROM and the project currently.

After filling out these fields, click "OK". If all fields have been filled out correctly, the window will close and the main window will open. Note that startup for the main window is a little slow - it may take a few seconds to open.
