Start by selecting Create new map from the welcome screen.

In the next screen upload your file by dropping it on the dropzone. Alternatively, you can click on the dropzone to open the normal file browser, and search for your file there. You can give a name to the new map layer here, or later in the Layer-menu.
-
If you uploaded a spreadsheet file, select the necessary location fields in the last screen of the import wizard. If the location data is not in WGS84 format, select the correct projection from the dropdown menu.

Press Make a map and start visualizing!
