💻 Medical Data Engineer   |   📷 Board certified Radiographer

Hey, my name is André and I'm a passionate medical informatics student at UMIT Tyrol. Additionally, I completed training as a board certified radiographer with work experience as e.g. the commissioned CT lead radiographer at Charité Berlin - one of the largest radiology departments in Europe. Currently I am working as a Junior Research Associate in the field of medical imaging, where I mainly perform data engineering tasks on radiological DICOM images.

• Medical School Hannover - PLRI: Junior Research Associate in medical imaging informatics. Member of the HiGHmed junior research group iXplain_CDS, lead by Dr. Dominik Wolff (May 2024 - Present)
• Medical School Hannover - PLRI: Intern and research assistant in the field of signal processing. Machine learning algorithms were utilized for human activity recognition based on head-worn accelerometer measurements. Thesis: "Using a head-mounted inertial sensor to determine physical activity based on machine learning" (Sept 2023 - Apr 2024)
