Developing python code to process raw csv files exported by Reconstruct, a tool for viewing and acquiring data from image stacks obtained from serial section electron microscopy.
RECONSTRUCT was created in the lab of Dr. Kristen Harris by John Fiala to facilitate the generation of quantitative measurements of nanometer scale anatomical structures in brain tissue.
More information can be found at the Harris Lab website https://synapseweb.clm.utexas.edu/
Synapseweb is an excellent resource for anyone interested in ultra-neuroanatomy. Lab publications are available as well as links to datasets.
The site also hosts The Atlas of Ultrastructural Neurocytology by Josef Spacek. https://synapseweb.clm.utexas.edu/atlas
RECONSTRUCT is free and available at https://synapseweb.clm.utexas.edu/software-0 Reconstruct was written by John C. Fiala, Ph.D. For more info go to Reconstruct History and Citations. Source code for Reconstruct is available on Github. For help with specific questions, contact the Reconstruct Yahoo User's Group or email the SynapseWeb admin at [email protected].
Reconstruct was created with funding, in part, from the National Institutes of Health and the Human Brain Project under grants (P30 HD18655, R01 MH/DA 57351, and R01 EB 002170).
