  • Remote_syslog2 now waits for a newline character before transmitting a log line
  • Connection attempts and socket writes now have a 30 second timeout by default. Both values are configurable via connect_timeout & write_timeout directives
  • A stack trace can be generated by sending a USR1 signal to the process
  • Continues running if the first connection attempt fails
