v0.6.1
Refer to the build guide for direction on producing the PCB and the README for installation information.
Changes (v0.6.1)
- Standard: fixed an issue where the power supply shuts down during a safe over-current condition
- Standard: fixed the connection with the fan capacitor
- Standard: fixed the attachment of the ground plane to the cable mounting screw
- Standard: lowered the brightness of the case LED
- Lite: synchronized changes with the standard board
Changes (v0.6)
- Reverted the size of the mounting hole for the PCIe connector. This was originally made larger to accommodate different models of the connector but during manual assembly, it is difficult to properly align the connector with the smaller mounting pin.
- Added two PWM fan headers
- Standard: added two 180W DC-DC power supplies for PCIe power
- Standard: added a case LED connector
- MCU: Added temperature sensor, PWM fan driver, and case LED indicator
- MCU: Fixed a bug where cable LED does not turn white after it is safe to disconnect
v0.5.1
Refer to the build guide for direction on producing the PCB and the README for installation information.
Changes (v0.5.1)
Note: No changes are made to any Gerbers from v0.5.
- Fixed a bug in the XGMDriver installer which inverted the decision between AMD and NVIDIA. This caused device unplug to not work correctly.
- (Standard) Added standby support. GPU will be powered off completely when host is powered off.
- Cable LED light now follows the same pattern as the official XGM: white = cable connected and host powered on, red = PCIe lanes connected
- Fixed an issue where shutting down may take a long time due to a missing I2C response
Changes (v0.5)
- Added Lite board
- Replaced XGMActivator with XGMDriver which should be more reliable
- (Standard) Added SPI flash for USB hub to allow firmware updates
- (Standard) Changed min drill size to 0.3mm to reduce cost
- (Standard) Moved some decoupling capacitors to bottom layer
- (Standard) Replaced male power passthrough with a female connector
- (Standard) Changed charging limit from 100W to 65W to give more power to the GPU (65W is the minimum that allows Ally to still turbo at 30W)
