These collection of pages are for BetaNYC's Beyond Transparency campaign to build tools for City Council, their staff, and Community Boards. Over an 8 week course, BetaNYC members are challenged to take NYC's Open Data and make tools that double down our investment. The culmination of this 8 week campaign will be Code Across NYC, 22/23 Feb. This will be a two day hackathon building tools for Council and Community boards.
Currently, BetaNYC is focusing on the following realms of data: Crime and Public Safety Data, Schools and Transportation, Land Use, and NYC 311.
The following wiki pages contain an overview, highlighted datasets, tools explored, and output.
