- Go to extension page and click "Add to Firefox".
- Firefox will ask whether you agree with permissions you grant to the extension.
Extension requires this permission: "Access your data for all websites". This permission is required for the extension in order to be able to add [Save] links to dictionary websites. Since the list of sites is set dynamically from a config file, the extension requires this permission for "all websites" rather that for some specific ones.
Accept the dialog by clicking "Add".
- Go to Settings -> Add-ons.
- On Vocabulary to Google Sheet add-on click on ... button and then click Preferences.
- You will see the extension preferences dialog (see the screenshot below). Also a new window will be opened, where you'll be asked to log in to your Google account. If it hasn't opened, try clicking on a Spreadsheet selection dropdown.
- After that you'll need to allow the browser extension to:
- See information about your Google Drive files.
- See, edit, create and delete your spreadsheets in Google Drive.
- In extension preferences do the following:
- select a spreadsheet where you want to save sentences (you'll be provided with a list of all the spreadsheets you can edit)
- select Save URLs checkbox, if you want to save the link to the dictionary page alongside the sentence
- edit names of sheets if in your Google Sheet they are named differently
- click Save to save the preferences
- click Reload site settings to update the sentences parser rules to the latest version (rules might be updated independently from the browser extension in order to quicken possible updates)
- Let's check that everything works. Go to Cambridge Dictionary. You should see [Save] links there. Click on the first one.
- The dialog will close and you will see that [Save] link became Saved.
- Check that the sentence has been added to our Google Sheet:
- Congratulations!
- Go to extension page and click "Add to Chrome".
- Chrome will ask whether you agree with permissions you grant to the extension.
