Welcome to the VITALITY plugin for CKAN wiki!

This is going to be used as a repository for useful information for the VITALITY plugin for CKAN

What is VITALITY?

The VITALITY registry (accessible here) is a separate CKAN instance, focused on hosting metadata records for data that is either partially or not fully accessible to the general public. This can also include data that is embargoed and will be fully released at a later date.

The VITALITY plugin is a CKAN extension used by the registry site to manage metadata. The plugin adds a role-permissions feature to CKAN. For some datasets the permissions may be set to 'open' to all users and the site will act as it usually does. However, some datasets may be marked as restricted for any non-members of the owning organization. In this case, the plugin will obscure certain pieces of metadata from appearing on the page (such as location, links, and other fields).
