Thesis now uses png files and can compile with pdfLaTeX

Fonts are still not the same as the original version but this will do for now.

This version can produce a PDF file

However the font is different from the original font. I do not know/remember the original font. In 1996 there were no choice of font for LaTeX documents on the Unix system. All tex files are in iso-8859-1 encoding. A future release will change this to UTF-8 such that the document can be compiled with LuaLaTeX.
