Clear, interactive and entirely user-controlled frontend application that provides users with feedback through an aesthetic design.
Using MQTT which is a publish/subscribe messaging messaging protocol that enables edge-of-network devices to publish to broker. Clients connect to that broker, which mediates communication between devices and once a client publishes a message on to a subscribed topic, the broker will forward the message to any client that has subscribed. This design pattern distributes information more efficiently whilst reducing network bandwidth consumption tremendously. The true beauty of this design pattern is that it is a very secure design with permission-based security so that control is emphasised. Not only does the design offer an extra layer of security but also enables us to collect more data with less bandwidth compared to traditional polling protocols. All this is suitable for the spoken about application and is supposed to be an optimal solution for a real life outer space excursion.
Our uniquely designed SmartRover emulator is equipped with groundbreaking functionalities which is at the forefront of space exploration. It is able to retrieve feedback of its direction and location both visually, figuratively and even textually. Everything is displayed in the Manual Control Page. All to grant the user optimal control of the rocky, canyons and volcanic planet we call Mars.
