Temporarily disable Windows Defender

If all else fails, follow these steps to temporarily disable Windows Defender.

1. Go to Windows Security > Virus & threat protection

Use to Start Menu to open Windows Security and click on Virus & threat protection in the sidebar.

Type Windows Security into the search bar in the Start Menu and open Windows Security Click on Virus & threat protection in the sidebar

2. Click "Manage settings"

Under Virus & threat proections settings, click Manage settings.

3. Disable Real-time protection

Click the switch to turn off Real-time protection.

4. Try to download and run Pop Pixie again

If you encountered issues downloading Pop Pixie, try downloading Pop Pixie again. If you encountered issues running Pop Pixie, try running Pop Pixie again.

5. Re-enable Real-time protection

When you've finished, click the switch again to turn Real-time protection back on.
