### Suggester Rebranding (May 13th, 2021)
Discord has [rebranded](https://dis.gd/ournewlook), changing their old blurple color (#7289DA) to a new brighter blue (#5865F2). Since Suggester's profile picture and default color scheme used the OG Blurple color, we're rebranding our icons and assets as well! You'll notice a brand new Suggester icon, as well as a new default color for suggestion embeds and some emojis used by the bot.

### Review
This one is a bit more complex as it relies on an extra configuration element, the [review channel](/config/review). When this mode is set, any suggestion from your members will be sent to your review channel where the server staff can decide whether it should be approved or not. It is useful for public servers where suggestions aren't necessarily good ideas. Yes, we tried to get our **#kitchen-sinks** channel, but it didn't live past the review phase. Sad trombone.

You can deny a suggestion using `.deny` and approve it using the `.approve` command. Make sure to check the general documentation to learn more about the managing commands Suggester currently provides and their syntaxes.

**Send Messages**: This permission is required for the bot to respond to commands, because Suggester isn't mean enough to ignore you.\
**Embed Links**: This allows the bot to send messages with rich embeds, because that colored bar is a blast.\
**Add Reactions**: Approved suggestions can be voted on by using specific reactions added by the bot when the suggestion is approved.\
**Use External Emojis**: Suggester uses custom made emojis for certain commands (like `.mark` or `.config list`) and thus needs this permission for them to display. :coolbeans:

### Create Commands
Additionally, Suggester will ask for permission to create [application commands](https://dis.gd/slashcommands) in your server. This is required for [anonymous suggestions](topics/anonymous-suggestions) to work but will be used in the future as the default way to use the bot.

### Prefix
Setting a custom prefix is one of the most important things to do when you add a new bot to your server, to avoid receiving 17 DMs when you're just looking for help. Suggester's default prefix is a dot (`.`) but you can change it at any time. You can configure it using `.config prefix [new prefix]`. Who wouldn't like having to use this command? `?]!"{$suggest`
Please don't use this one though. Like seriously don't, it's ugly. >:(
Please don't use this one though >:(

### Voting Limitations
Suggester currently provides two different settings that relates to voting: `onevote` and `selfvote`. The former prevents members from voting multiple times on the same suggestion (like upvoting and downvoting) and the latter prevents suggestion authors from upvoting their own suggestions (they gotta play fair c:). We recommend setting both by respectively using `.config onevote on/off` and `.config selfvote on/off`.

Of course there is much more configuration options, which you can find [here](config/configuration). Happy configuring!
