Nextcloud Flow (as of NC18) can be used as a file monitor and upload data into a report automatically.

Usecase

monitor a file for updates via texteditor or office
receive data via webdav and not via Analytics' API

Conditions

file must be a valid format for a report
only reports of type "internal database" can store data
test with a manual file-import first (Analytics -> Report -> Settings -> Data -> Import -> From file)
Flow does not post error messages

Usage

Settings -> Personal -> Flow
Add to Analytics -> Add new flow -> set conditions -> select existing report
