The plotting coordinates bugfix is a duplicate commit caused by the merger of the diverged branches.

Bugfix in
fileutilities.py. As it was repurposed for this pipeline, a general feature that was useful in its original context proved to be inhibiting in the present context and was causing some substractions to not take place and the respective plots and tracks to not be produced. -
