pySerial, install with pip install pyserial
pyqtgraph, used to generate real-time graphs
goto http://www.pyqtgraph.org/, download the deb for Ubuntu, then install with sudo apt install -f ./python-pyqtgraph_0.10.0-1_all.deb, note the deb file name may not match yours.
You can also use conda or pip if you prefer
