Refactored the unit controller so its not a bajillion lines.
Actual relevant changes made:
Added JSdoc comments for every function for readability
Added error handling for missing units, invalid nodes, and failed operations
Added logic for appending nodes into a trees structure to help with other user stories of adding/deleting units
Retrieval of terminal nodes
