There is a standard procedure to apply modded textures to any ME games series using MassEffectModder.

So, generally speaking, MassEffectModder best practices for modding textures are as follows:

Make sure you have you have vanilla game data.

Tasks that have to be run for the first time, just once:

1.- (ME2/ME3 game only) Install DLC MODs (if any) into DLC folder

2.- (ME3 game only) Unpack DLC Archives

3.- Install any PCC files mods (if any)

4.- Scan game files launching Texture Explorer

From now on, it´s the mod building / installing process. So depending on if you need to build any .mem mod file or if you already have it, continue at step (5) or (6):

  • If you do not have any MassEffectModder .mem mod file, you can now build it:

5.- Use Create MOD to build as much .mem mod files as you may want to.

  • If you already have any MassEffectModder .mem mod file, you can now apply it:

6.- Use Load MODs to load .mem mod file(s) and, then, install.

7.- Ensure to Update LOD Settings

At this point, your modding run should be done.

OPTIONAL.- If desired, some free disk space can be restored using the repack compression utilities:

8.- (ME2 game only) use Repack (Zlib) or (ME3 game only) compress back DLC packages

And that´s all.
