Describe the new term or terms you would like to add.

The National Microbiome Data Collaborative (NMDC) uses MS ontology to describe reagents and substances used in metaproteome and natural organic matter characterization.

One substance we have been unable to currently map is "alphaLP" (https://commonchemistry.cas.org/detail?cas_rn=37288-76-9&title=, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alpha-lytic_endopeptidase, https://enzyme.expasy.org/EC/3.4.21.12).

Looking for expert advice on representing this term in the MS ontology; our initial attempt at adding it directly is this stanza in the OBO file, happy for feedback/refinement:

[Term]
id: MS:1003434
name: AlphaLP
def: "A serine protease that hydrolyzes peptide bonds at the C-terminus of threonine, alanine, serine, and valine. (EC:3.4.21.12)" [DOI:10.1038/228438a0, DOI:10.1021/bi00445a015]
is_a: MS:1001045 ! cleavage agent name
synonym: "alpha-lytic endopeptidase" EXACT []
synonym: "alpha-lytic protease" EXACT []

Thank you for any help and for this valuable resource.
