Troubleshooting
We currently have an issue where the UI decides the end time of the poll. If your computer does not sync its time properly and is out by even a couple of minutes, it will result in polls either finishing immediately or lasting longer than it should. This can easily be fixed by setting your time to be automatically synced. Something like this
This could be a range of issues. The easiest one to check is to make sure that your secret is correct. If it is, open the RimWorld debug log (You'll need to have developer mode enabled) and see if there is any useful information in there. If you can't decipher it drop by our Discord.
An obscure issue we found is that if you have a proxy setup it'll fail to create connection to our server all together. Follow step 2 in this article, and if your screen looks like the below image, disable the proxy checkbox and set the "Automatically detect settings" checkbox.
There is a known bug where if you load a game before putting your secret in, people can't accumulate points. This is easily fixed my saving your game, and reloading the map. We'll fix this soon, it's one of the tasks we have to stabilise the current release of RimConnect
This could be because you have either a) not installed the extension or b) not set it in your overlay slot. If you've double checked this, something might be broken and you should let us know.
