Follow-up of #98088

As noted in the CfT (pdtkmj-3dx-p2), the notices we display to users participating in the "Remove duplicate views" experiment are not great.

The screenshots shown here in the modal are far too hard to read/understand and perhaps shouldn’t be so literal.

Design

We should use a more abstract representation. @matt-west has proposed these new designs (ueOTNFNQ4pttm4F2qgbjeG-fi-576_1033)

OpenAI suggested the following labels for this issue:

  • [Feature Group] User Interaction & Engagement: The issue discusses redesigning welcome notices to improve user understanding and engagement with the 'Remove duplicate views' experiment.
  • [Feature] User Management: The focus is on enhancing the user experience, which relates to how users are managed and notified regarding changes.
  • [Feature] Notifications: This issue involves improving how information is presented to users, aligning with the notification system.

This issue could use some more labels, to help prioritize and categorize our work. Could you please add at least a [Type], a [Feature], and a [Pri] label?

@matt-west should we apply different colors based on the current color scheme on the site? Or should we always use the same blue colors regardless of the color scheme?

Also, do you have any icon suggestion for these screens?

I question if these are helpful. Are they necessary?

I don't think the graphics are adding anything communicative.

Here's an example of something similar from Linear. It shows you what's new, but also gives you insight to what's new, and why it's a good thing. The current notice just informs you something is better.

Given that the modal background is using the brand blue, we should use that for the button too.

Here’s a full list of the icons for each page.

@richtabor Linear’s changelog is great but I don’t think we need something so substantial for this use case. We could benefit from having that for wider updates to WordPress.com though!

Our goal with this modal is just to help combat any confusion for users landing on one of these pages that were used to the Calypso version. We don’t want them to waste time trying to find get back to a version of the page that no longer exists. The modal will only be shown once.
