How to turn of this surrounding highlight between quotes | brackets | methods definition | etc?

I'm encountering an issue with highlights appearing between every word within strings, parentheses, brackets, and similar elements in my editor. Like so:

These highlights are visually distracting for me, and I'd like to know how to disable or remove them entirely. I assume this could be related to syntax highlighting or a specific editor feature.

Could someone guide me on how to disable this? I've read through the documentation but couldn't find it.
