HA switch entity defaulted to "on" (issue #332)

Hello

Issue #332 has been closed as completed however I am unable to find how to set the default startup state of switches in node red. It also says that it was migrated to a discussion but clicking on the link only leads to a page with a spinner telling me it's being migrated, indefinitely.

Since no solution has been provided in this issue I'd like to ask how this is being handled?

Is it abnormal to want a known state when restarting / re-enabling?
