Tested naive attempt. Two issues revealed:

  1. buggy in 1.1.6: No value has been specified for property 'compilerClassPathFromMaven' in task ':instrumentCode' JetBrains/intellij-platform-gradle-plugin#752
  2. Even in 1.1.3 tests stop running with cryptic errors.

Current attempt is in branch https://github.com/xonixx/intellij-awk/tree/org.jetbrains.intellij_1.x
