i wan't to override the "sidebar.php", so i copied it into the plugin-folder under "custom/templates/".

This works with other template files like "page.php" or "404.php" but not with the "sidebar.php" or any specific "sidebar-{name}.php" file.

I use the "storefront" theme with "proshop" child-theme.

From Wordpress Docs about "sidebar.php" template file:
https://developer.wordpress.org/themes/functionality/sidebars/#create-a-sidebar-template-file
