Vertical swipe on Ipad scrolling in horizontal direction

I have a page where I have 2-3 containers placed vertically on the page and I am unable to scroll up or down in the IPad, as whenever I swipe up or down it simply scrolls the items in the container horizontally rather than scrolling the page vertically. Thereby blocking the user to scroll the page vertically. Need an urgent fix as it is completely blocking user to scroll in touch devices.
