I haven't been able to figure out what it is, but if you lean back the cube beyond 60º or so some points shoot off in idiotic directions, resulting in a huge ugly mess.
Also, on a side note, starwars should compose itself internally with two scale pipes, flipping the Z axis before and after the translation.
