New Row of Shorts displayed on Subscription tabs

Seems like YouTube forced the shorts on us again by adding a new row of Shorts at the top of the "All subscriptions" view
(currently with black thumbnails but that's another issue)

Can you remove this new line that's taking immediately 70% of screen estate when you select "Subscriptions" ?

(I have already check the "Remove Shorts from subscriptions" checkbox, but I think this settings applies to the shorts thumbnails that were listed among the normal videos in the subscriptions...
Here there is specifically a separate new row of shorts showing up at the top)
