AppStore Install doesn't show Extension #9
Comments
Same for me |
me too |
I think this only happens with Xcode 8.1 on MacOSX 10.11 and I didn't get it to work in my own extension either. If you use 10.12 it works fine. Presumably a change in how Xcode extensions are configured. Summary: I think Xcode extensions do not work in OSX 10.11 + Xcode 8.1 environments. |
Do you think any other Xcode version still allows to load source editor extenssions in OSX 10.11? |
No problem with macOS 10.12.3 and Xcode 8.2.1 (installed from MAS)… |
Also 8.2.1 doesn't show the extension. But also no mention of the extension in the extensions preference.app, it should be there also, right? |
8.2.1 on which macOS? I think you need 10.12 for extensions to work properly with Xcode 8.2. |
O, Bummer. I have to program for now in 10.11. |
Same for me 10.11.6 |
The extension doesn't show up in Xcode with macOS 10.11.5 and Xcode 8.2.1 |

The extension doesn't show up in Xcode 12.4(12D4e) with macOS 11.2.3 |
Hi,
I installed the extension using the Mac AppStore. However, the extension doesn't show up in Xcode. I also checked the 'Extensions' preference pane, but this doesn't list the
Xcode Source Editor
section shown in the README screenshot.MacOS: 10.11.6 (15G1108)
Xcode: Version 8.1 (8B62)
