Hello!

Problem description

I have two devices.

  • Pixel 4 w/ LineageOS (Android 10)
  • Pixel 8 with CalyxOS (Android 15) and Quickstep launcher (com.android.launcher3)

On both, the default and minimum size the widget can take up is 2x3. It can be resized larger than this, but not smaller. Thus the minimum size takes up considerable space, in most cases unnecessarily.

Steps to reproduce

Test it using the launcher/ROMs mentioned :)

Expected behavior

Widget should allow resizing, ideally down to 2x1

Additional information
I see widgets from other apps start out small, giving a lot more flexibility.

  • Termux application version: 0.118.1
  • Android OS version: 15
  • Device model: Pixel 8

Thanks a lot!

Hi, (last time I checked) there are two widgets variants, one with list of all scripts, and one for individual scripts. Is the smaller one for individual scripts unsuitable for your needs?

I suppose it might be possible to have a small icon with long-click menu with all the scripts instead, feels like it might be hard to read all the script names if it is only 2x1

Hello, the larger multiple-script version is much better suitable for me, but the 2x3 size is excessive. I'd most likely slim it down to 2x2. I've seen other widgets be able to do that (e.g. "Deliveries" can be resized down to 2x1)
