There are many machine-readable data maturity indicators and it is also an important part of FAIR. Data stewards should understand the concepts behind making meta(data) machine accessible/readable. We have some terms that describe technical concepts, but nothing in DS activity.
If I were wanting to describe a FAIR cookbook recipe whose goal is to "Teach you how to convert metadata from datasets of type X into a Machine Readable format", then we might want to have terms that mean:
A FAIR cookbook recipe confers competency in understanding machine readability/accessibility. A FAIRcookbook recipe confers a knowledge about machine-readable formats." We can currently say the latter sentence, but not the former.
