I am trying to setup a multizone optimization case (with fluid interface). I have 3 zones, with inlet in zone 1 and the outlet in zone 3.
I am currently defining my objective function based on the surfaces of zone 2. However, with this implementation, I realized that during the adjoint run, only the zone 2 is considered for the sensitivities and for the remaining zones, the sensitivity is zero. But, I need the sensitivities of all the zones. Is there a different way of setting up the objective function for this specific case?
I would be grateful for your help/suggestions in dealing with this.
