I never ended up using this package after writing it, however, the package itself quickly picked up a little steam on NPM and was averaging ~2k/week downloads for a while even with its current problems, but since I never use it, I haven't had the time to implement any improvements or fixes.

With a little care/improvement/direction, it could become quite popular, and could be a great resume booster or intro to open source maintenance.

If interested, submit a PR first and let me know you're interested in further maintenance.
