Hi,
Could you add a -nw (no-window/no-Gui) interactive mode for Emacs translate-shell?
Like so, perhaps:
trans -Enw -b -play

Also, I have problems with Arabic rendering the correct bidi right-to-left inside interactive Emacs GUI --> :(
