which mcp1824 model schould i use |

there are two on the board, one is 1.8V (U5 - MCP1824T-1802E/OT) and one is 0.8V (U6 - MCP1824T-0802E/OT). Both are used for BM1397 VCCIO reference voltages. If you look at the BOM on the Symbol Properties in KiCad you can see which is which. |

The BOM is generated from the schematic, so they should match! let me know if you see something different. |

there is a chance the PDF schematic is outdated depending on what commit you are looking at. I just updated master, so everything should match. |

take a look at the BOM in the Manufacturing Files directory. You should be able to match up the reference designator on the schematic with the exact part numbers in the BOM |

The ESP32 programming pins are broken out on the bitaxe board. I'll put together some more details instructions this weekend. The tldr is; use a tag-connect cable and ESP-Prog with ESP-IDF on your computer. |

What communication protocol does the MCU use to communicate with the ASIC chip? Additionally, could you please provide information about the pin numbers that the ASIC is connected to on the ESP32? For example, MISO connected to GPIO16. |

If I wanted to connect multiple chips to one MCU (let's say four), could you explain how to plug the pins in correctly? It would be great if you could provide a diagram or some instructions to help me with the process. |

essentially you need to connect all of the output pins (CO, BO, RO, etc) to the corresponding input pins (CI, BI, RI, etc). Powering the chips is tricky. Check out this project for a good example. |

hey there, i saw that the first version of the bitaxe had 2 bm1397 chips working together and no esp32 so i wanted to ask if its possible to do that with 4 chips and if yes all i want is a written diagram on how to connect the chips together and only the pins of the chips nothing else |

This first version had two BM1387. It shouldnt be too hard to connect multiple BM1397 together, but that is beyond the scope of this project, currently. |

this shouldn't be too hard.. you'll want a usbserial adapter chip, like the FTDI FT230X to convert that USB into serial like the ASIC wants. You could probably get rid of the ESP32 in this case. |
