BOM, POS and Gerber Files

After Having some problems uploading the files on JCLPCB I've made these ones. Its working well until you get to the par of parts ordering. Seems to be pretty ordinary components but still can't
find these parts anywhere.

What parts exactly are you having issues with? I order almost everything from Digikey. Is that what you mean?

The below parts won't be assembled due to data missing.
J3,J6,J7,J9,FID1,FID2,FID3,FID4,FID5,FID6,FID7,FID8,U3,J10 designators don't exist in the BOM file.
U1 designator don't exist in the CPL file.

But if you really want to build it yourself:

• J3: Not in BOM. DNP
• J6: Not in BOM. DNP
• J7: Not in BOM. DNP
• J9: Not in BOM. DNP
• FID1,FID2,etc: They are fiducial, not components
• U3: Not in BOM. DNP
• J10: Not in BOM. DNP
• U1: 25 mhz Xtal. They can hand place without POS data

Usually if something is in the CAD but not in BOM, it is DNP. Standard electronic assembly practice.

Ordering PCB Assembly from a shop is a good option if you want a several Bitaxe cheaper than retailers but without the time commitment of assembling them yourself. However, the PCBA process is non-trivial and only makes sense in large volumes. In order to avoid ordering an expensive pile of bricks, I suggest you spend some time familiarizing yourself with the project. Open it up in KiCad and take a look at the schematic, board view and 3D render.

• Not all designators have parts associated with them
• Not all parts are normally soldered
• PCBA shops are going to want the design files in a specific format -- they're not all the same. Read up on their requirements and generate them yourself from KiCad.
• JLCPCB usually only will use parts that they stock. Many Bitaxe parts are not available from them. You will need to find equivalent replacements, which is a big design exercise.
• PCBWay will source parts from wherever, and even allow you to send them parts to use, but charge extra for this.
• Be aware that several boards you get back may not work at all due to soldering defects. This is normal for any PCBA process. In bigger operations these defects are caught and fixed at assembly time through additional processes such as AOI (Automated Optical Inspection), X-Ray and functional testing.

My advice is if you're looking to save a few bucks by ordering PCBA, you should just assemble it yourself. I have some instructions for doing this here.
