Thank you very much for this course. I have been following each video but I however got lost at the Jenkins part. I was unable to understand the alternative process if your Github account is not an organisation. IN my case, I have a private repository which I pay for and I am unable to upgrade to an organisation where I would have to fork out $25. Does the Github Authentication plugin work with repositories only? If so, how different will the workflow be apart from what you showed in the video?
Thanks!

Hi Steve!

Github auth will work even if it's not an organization - you can make an oAuth application within your user settings instead of an organization settings.

The GitHub Folders pipeline shown in the video should still work - I believe in the setup you can define specific repositories instead or organizations, but I'd have to spin up another Jenkins install to see for sure (I can't at the moment, I'm on vacation and don't have all the access I'd need).

Hi Chris,

Thank you so much for responding quickly in spite of your being on vacation. I appreciate that.
I've tried what you suggested but somehow it seems to still scan for organizations. I will wait until you return for you to test and suggest what I can do to make this work for me.
Once again, thank you for responding. Enjoy the rest of your vacation.

HI @fideloper,

Just wondering if you have been able to re-produce the problem I was having following your example using a non-organisation Github account to set up Jenkins Github Authentication?

Hope you had a nice holiday?

Thanks!

Hi Chris,

Please close this ticket as I have been able to resolve the issue. I went through the process again and removed Github Organisation Plugin since the features here have been moved to Github Branch Source plugin and my account is a non-Organisation.

Thanks!
