Escaping OBX TX Message Segment #107

Total newbie here.

Composing a message with an OBX TX segment. Are there any package utilities to escape the text value (as outlined in http://www.hl7.eu/HL7v2x/v24/std24/ch02.htm#Heading343)?

Searching through the code base, it seems that this detail is left to implementer. Is that correct?

Hello,

That is correct - there isn't any. This could be an important addition though. For now you have to do it in your code unfortunately.
