Make location of package.json configurable

What do you think about letting the user define another location for the package.json?
E.g. we would like to put the file in a sub-directory of our project.

This two lines would be a starting point.

👍 I also need this feature and implemented it in my local fork. Is there any interest in a PR that allows the user to set the location of the package.json and also the location where the node_modules are stored?
