The most difficult thing when installing {lighthergm} is to make it possible to use OpenMP. It is known that OpenMP is not stable for R >= 4.0.0 on macOS (here).

It would be great if we could replace OpenMP with {RcppParallel} so that installation of {lighthergm} would become much easier for any OS. I tried {RcppParallel}, and it is not so difficult to use.
