[Performance] One provider + filters vs Many providers

I have a medium size object with a Map of 20 elements or so...
This object is accessible via an async provider, then I filter by map item id to watch sub items.
Would it be better to have instead 20 family providers accessible through the item ids?
What are the implications of such choice : memory used and performance ?
